We had a fantastic day yesterday testing cinema lenses on the Alexa LF and our @reddigitalcinema V-Raptor for our upcoming thriller film The Shut In. The film will be produced in partnership with @thecjjones and @signworldstudios!!! Very special thanks to @keslowcamera for hosting us and giving us so many wonderful tools to test. Everyone should check them out.--Neil Watson

Jokes

How does a screenwriter write a joke?

EXT. COUNTRY ROAD-DAY

A CHICKEN stands at the edge of a barren country road preparing to cross....

Film Crew Slang

Magic Hour- The perfect time just before sunrise or just after sunset where the sky is dark but still glowing/illuminated with beautiful colors. It last for only about 20 minutes.

Sides- A half sized script containing only the scenes being shot that day. Half size so it fits in a pocket.

Dialogue Greatness!

The Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004)

Ron Burgundy: (on the fight between local anchormen) Boy, that escalated quickly. I mean, that really got out of hand fast!
Champ Kind: It jumped up a notch.
Ron Burgundy: It did, didn't it?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, I stabbed a man in the heart.
Ron Burgundy: I saw that! Brick killed a guy! Did you throw a trident?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident.
Ron Burgundy: Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should probably find yourself a safe house or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder.

A few of images from Thursday's launch. Was playing around with exposure, so the sky doesn't match.
